There is  a database we subscribe to called (Ebscohost)Points of View Reference Center which is a good starting point for your research , located if you scroll down the page past Eagles E-Search to School of Arts and Sciences list of database links.  It is also located in our alphabetical A to Z List in the P's:  https://researchhelp.post.edu/az.php?a=all

Here is direct link: https://postu.idm.oclc.org/login?auth=prodbb&url=https://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,url,cpid&custid=ns017336&profile=pov

While you won't find a lot of academic journal articles, you will find the points(pros) and counterpoints(cons) of the issue, and then can do more research in Eagles E-Search.

To find additional reliable sources like academic journal articles, you would want your search terms to look like this(2 separate searches):  "your topic" AND benefits (for the pros of the topic), and "your topic" AND consequences (for the cons) if you are searching in Eagles E-Search(Ebscohost). If you want peer-reviewed articles(academic journal articles, most reliable sources), You would click under Refine Results on left hand side after doing your search.

Here is a quick vimeo on how to search Eagles E-Search(Ebsco) and use the Refine results on left hand side:
