It can be a little difficult to backtrack and attempt to find some deliberately false information on any topic but you can sometimes find information by doing an internet search for <your topic> and "disinformation" or "false" or "hoax".
When I did that for 'spider', I found this page: https://spiders.ucr.edu/internet-hoax , describing a long standing internet hoax about spiders. I tried to find an example of it 'in the wild', so to speak, and found this: http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/225724/Scary-Spider-Shit
